Dana Lee Smith is a licensed and board certified Music Therapist. She received a Bachelor’s in Music Therapy degree from Georgia College and State University in 1997. For the past 18 years, her own private practice has been providing Music Therapy services throughout the Coastal Empire area. Throughout this time, she has provided services to individuals and groups with various abilities and in a variety of settings. These settings include both private and public school systems, adult day centers, assisted living facilities and nursing homes.

Purpose & Objectives
To define and demonstrate the beneficial impact of music for persons with autism. Participants will learn:
- About Music Therapy and discover possible uses of Music Therapy in the Autism Community
- The three steps in the Music Therapy process
- And practice four possible Music Therapy activities for individuals and/or groups
